Girvan marked down in survey of Scotland's best coastal towns
19 AugustOur town has missed out on a place amongst the best coastal towns to live in Scotland according to a new survey, which placed Girvan down in 14th place in the national poll of seaside towns.
The survey rates towns by a number of factors including weather, house prices, quality of life, environment, education, the labour market and health.
East coast towns came out on top, taking all of the top ten places. Stonehaven was ranked first in the Bank of Scotland survey, with two other Aberdeenshire towns, Fraserburgh and Peterhead second and third.
